At this point in time, I have to add a biblical scale plague of locusts
in Africa and a virus pandemic to my contemplation of about 25 years of
natural
disasters and other signs seemingly of prophetic significance.
What is going on? First consider an excerpt of Jesus saying on
this matter.
And as He was sitting on the
Mount of
Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when
will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of
the end of the age?" And Jesus answered and said to them, "See
to it that no one misleads you. "For many will come in My name,
saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many. "And you will
be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened,
for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.
"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and
in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But
all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
(Matthew 24:3–8 NASB)
If there are birth pangs, then something hidden is at work, working to
give birth to something. That something will reveal Satan's work
in the world. So what is working unseen and what will it eventually
reveal? Consider the following passage for additional insight.
And you know what restrains him
now, so
that in his time he may be revealed. For the mystery of
lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so
until he is taken out of the way. And then that lawless one will
be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and
bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one
whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power
and signs and false wonders. (2 Thessalonians 2:6–9 NASB)
Here it is indicated that something is holding back the unseen evil.
This is the work of the Holy Spirit in the church holding back the
evil. Then when the removal of the church ends opposition, the
Antichrist is revealed, by this time a witch powerful enough to do
incredible signs. According to the following scripture may also
be a homosexual.
Neither shall he regard the God
of his
fathers, nor the desire of women,
nor
regard
any
god:
for
he
shall
magnify himself above all. (Daniel 11:37 KJV)
So all these difficulties are preparing the unveiling of the
Antichrist. Is it the Antichrist himself? I think not, but
rather that sins associated with him are increasing in power,
influence, and number of participants. Witchcraft has been
released into the world through the rediscovery of ancient magic texts,
then spread slowly for a while then accelerated. So too,
homosexuality has leveraged opportunity to advance itself until
abominable acts have been legitimized as gay "marriage." Further
we are compelled to accept the insanity of someone saying their gender
is other than what the physical facts say, and that to the harm of our
rights.
So the Western secular world now is fully accepting the
principles associated with this Antichrist. What will prevent
them from enthroning the man himself when he is revealed?
Perhaps nothing.
According to the Bible all this is headed to destruction. Is it
possible to avert this disaster by turning aside from wickedness?
It is commonly thought that these events lead to an unavoidable
end. Consider that the book of Revelation depicts the guilty
evildoers as unrepentant.
Neither repented they of their
murders,
nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
(Revelation 9:21 KJV)
However prophecy in all other contexts is purposed for repentance to
save the wicked from destruction. If it is possible to repent of
this march toward destruction, the following add to the list of sins
raised in the previous verse.
For without are dogs, and
sorcerers,
and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth
and maketh a lie. (Revelation 22:15 KJV)
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the
abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and
idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which
burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation
21:8 KJV – Here dogs represent all perverse sexual sin particularly
those of homosexuality and transgenderism)
Turn from your evil now before
you destroy us all!
